THE FILM
During the COVID lockdowns, women in abusive relationships have far fewer opportunities to get out of the home and spend time away from their partners. Increasingly cornered, their domestic prisons have become ubiquitous, and something as menial as a trip to the supermarket – a chore we all take for granted – becomes their only means of escape, even if it’s just for a little while.
The campaign was made possible thanks to a small band of extremely generous, talented, and believing people. Hauntingly handled by the incredible emerging talent, Molly Burdett at Spindle and shot by the renowned DOP Robbie Ryan. Special thanks go to No.8, Cheat, and the insightful, passionate, and trusting people at Women’s Aid.
