When people go missing, the hardest part for their families is the uncertainty. We partnered with Stephen Fry to release a unique audiobook that starts as a thriller but then abruptly cuts to silence for six hours, reflecting the sudden end faced by thousands of families each year.

THE MISSING LINES

The Missing Lines was teased as the next blockbuster audiobook narrated Stephen Fry – building buzz and anticipation for a new thriller by debut novelist M.S.Singh – we dropped it in chapters on Spotify, and on release people instantly realised something was up. After a minute or so of the opening chapter, the audiobook came to an abrupt end. Was it broken? Was it their device? Or a technical issue with the audiobook?

Thousands were frustrated, and after an agonising wait, Stephen Fry finally revealed the truth. It wasn’t a mistake, merely an unsettling demonstration of how the story doesn’t end, like it doesn’t for those who go missing every day in the UK.
